Are you ready to move on from the barrage of negative thoughts about food & your body?
Imagine feeling:
When we have positive self-regard and see that we truly matter, it is easier to offer ourselves self-compassion. Self-compassion looks like engaging in positive self-talk and treating ourselves with kindness during challenging times, and this helps us maintain a healthy self-image!
Diet culture teaches us to always look at what is wrong with ourselves…
…I am here to tell you nothing is wrong with you.
…even if you struggle with weight gain or binge eating. There are very good reasons for these challenges and the real healing is in embracing the “why” as though it matters. Setting realistic goals that align with our values fosters a sense of accomplishment and growth – rather than degrading our self confidence. Cultivating gratitude by regularly reflecting on our innate worth, our strengths and achievements reinforces a positive self-view.
As Carl Jung wisely stated, “Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being, but by integration of the contraries”. This integration is essential for true self-acceptance and personal development.
You CAN Undo harmful negative health programming & CREATE A LIFE WORTH LIVING.
All too often, I hear my patients say things like, “I would be so much healthier if I didn’t like _______.” Whether it’s a sweet tooth or a savory craving, we all have tastes that bring us joy. It’s time to celebrate our love for good food without guilt. We collectively cherish our treats, and it’s high time we stop feeling ashamed for wanting to satisfy our cravings. Guilt should be reserved for true wrongdoing, yet the nutrition propaganda machine has convinced us that liking or eating certain foods is somehow wrong.
If we’re using food to fulfill unmet emotional needs, that’s worth addressing. It can be scary to confront these feelings, especially if our experiences have made us seek comfort in predictable foods. But if this resonates with you, don’t look for another dietitian—I promise I won’t shame you for your choices.
Instead, I’ll help you see food as a friend and guide you in crafting your own health story. You are enough, and you have the ability to eat in a way that honors your deepest self and values.
A healthy relationship with food isn’t about stripping away emotions or viewing it solely as fuel; that notion is misguided. It’s about becoming knowledgeable and empowered, enabling you to consciously nourish your body. So go boldly into the unknown territory of your own self, and rediscover the joy that food can bring to your life!

Hi There! I’m Sarah
Just call me your mindful eating for metabolic & digestive health wizard.
A therapeutic diet can transform how we feel in our bodies. Food and nutrition science is powerful medicine, allowing us to treat and prevent illness. Mindful eating plays a crucial role in this process, encouraging us to savor each bite and tune into our body’s signals, which helps activate the “rest and digest” phase—essential for optimal digestion and nutrient absorption. It’s also vital to address factors like stress and sleep, as they significantly impact our overall health.
By viewing the person as a whole and using functional labs to explore hormones, gut bacteria, and cellular fuel processing, we can create a tailored approach that nourishes both body and mind, fostering a harmonious connection between what we eat and how we feel.
